Why Tell Others of Jesus?
Bible Reference
"And Jesus said to them, 'you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and then you shall be witnesses of Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.' Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight..." (Acts 1:8-2:42)
Study Notes
As His followers, we are commanded by Jesus to proclaim His lordship and the Gospel to all those whose hearts the Holy Spirit has prepared to receive the good news. We can never forget the Gospel is the power of God for the salvation of souls. Telling others about Jesus and spreading the good news of salvation by faith alone, in Christ alone is one of the most important things we can do while living in a world, which itself is at enmity with God. It's a divine rescue mission, which we can all participate in by telling others who Jesus is to us, We also can show the love of Jesus by how we live our lives and how we interact with those whom the Holy Spirit places in our path. But to accomplish this there are three things we need to understand, and they include.
1. What are we suppose to do?
2. Why are we suppose to do it?
3. How are we suppose to do it?
Understanding the answers to these three questions help us in our goal to lay a foundation on which to train up the next generation in the admonition of the Lord, as we prepare them to live a life for Jesus in a world that does not know Him. Moreover, it can help strengthen our prayer life. It's through prayer that we can bring the power of God into the lives of others all around the world.
